Cigna Healthcare, an American multinational for-profit managed healthcare and insurance company, launched Clearity, a copay-only health plan built to strip out deductibles and coinsurance while showing members what they owe before they ever book a visit.
The company leans on its new AI stack to help people check coverage, estimate bills, and sort through care options with verified reviews and transparent copay data. Straight answers, fewer hoops.
Clearity comes in five designs with tiered in-network copays and one tier for out-of-network care. Everything sits on the Open Access Plus network, which keeps access wide instead of narrowing choices.
Cigna frames it as a fix for the constant complaint that bills appear out of nowhere and benefits read like puzzles. Employers get a steadier model for workers who dodge care because deductibles crush their budgets.
The plan pairs Cigna’s AI assistant with natural language tools that let people ask for what they need the way they’d say it out loud.
The system returns total out-of-pocket costs before the visit, not after the claim. Cigna pitches Clearity as a straightforward option for anyone fed up with surprise balances and endless fine print.
Eva Borden, who runs product for Cigna’s U.S. Employer business, said the mix of AI tools and upfront pricing gives companies a cleaner way to support varied workforces. She said Clearity offers a simpler, more predictable path to care, not just another plan on a menu.
By combining our latest AI technology with simplified, transparent costs, we are helping employers offer innovative solutions that meet the diverse needs of their workforce.
Clearity by Cigna Healthcare is more than a health plan – it’s a simpler, more predictable way for customers to get the health care they need

Erin Lenox, president of national accounts, said they designed Clearity for people who want a smoother experience. Tech forward employees, healthy folks who like pay-as-you-go setups, and anyone who skips appointments because deductibles feel brutal. She said Clearity gives them a route that doesn’t punish them for trying to stay healthy.
“From tech-savvy employees and healthy individuals who prefer pay-as-you-go options to those who may skip care due to high deductibles and financial barriers, Clearity by Cigna Healthcare offers a better path to care.” – Erin Lenox, president of national accounts for Cigna Healthcare’s U.S. Employer business.
