David Warr – Portfolio Manager, Cyber for QBE Europe
David Warr is a London-based cyber insurance specialist with more than 15 years of underwriting and portfolio management experience across cyber, TMT, and professional liability risks. He currently serves as Portfolio Manager – Cyber at QBE Insurance, where he oversees cyber portfolios across Europe and works closely with brokers and clients on structuring coverage for complex, evolving digital threats.
Warr joined QBE in 2016 and has held several senior roles, including Cyber & TMT Underwriting Manager and Underwriter – TMT & Cyber, building deep expertise in cyber risk selection, portfolio performance, and product development. Before QBE, he spent nearly eight years at AIG and AIG Europe, progressing from Underwriter to Senior Underwriter in Professional Indemnity and Cyber Liability.
He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Surrey and is widely involved in industry dialogue around cyber risk, cloud exposure, AI-driven threats, and supply chain vulnerabilities. At QBE, Warr plays a central role in shaping cyber underwriting strategy as demand for protection against ransomware, data breaches, and systemic technology failures continues to grow.
