A leader in the fields of government and lobbying, and internationally recognized on insurance regulatory matters, representing hundreds of clients in the fields of property, homeowners, automobile and workers’ compensation, as well as reinsurers, brokers, agents and MGAs, and other insurance arenas. Helped establish a statewide insurance conference in Florida that attracts more than 750 insurance and reinsurance executives, state and federal regulators and elected leaders, as well as other related industry professionals.
Florida lobbyist for the Property and Casualty Insurers Association of America and lead lobbyist and General Counsel to the Florida Property and Casualty Association. A primary strategist in all types of Florida insurance-related legislative initiatives, including homeowners, automobile, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and other lines of property and casualty, and life and health.
In 2014, Fred served as the finance Chair for Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, finance Co-Chair for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, and statewide finance Co-Chair for Florida Governor Rick Scott. Also served on the National Finance Committee of the Republican National Committee. Attended the 2012 Republican National Convention and served as Co-Chair of Romney for Florida. Has joined Governor Scott on two trade missions – to London in July 2012, and to Israel in December 2011.
Adjunct Professor of Law at the Florida State University College of Law. Recently taught “Law and Risk Management,” which was held at the FSU College of Law and in conjunction with FSU’s College of Business Department of Risk Management and Insurance March 10-13, 2014. The course will be taught again in March 2015.
