
Matt Hull – Director Global Threat Intelligence at NCC Group
Matt Hull is a seasoned cybersecurity expert with over 15 years of experience. He holds an MSc in Cyber Security, a BSc in Policing, Criminal Law & Investigations, and an FSc in Criminal Investigations from the University of Chester. He also has industry certifications, including CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM) and CREST Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA).
Currently, Matt is the Global Head of Threat Intelligence at NCC Group, a prominent cybersecurity firm offering consulting, managed security services, and software solutions to protect against cyber threats. He leads a team of experts in identifying and mitigating global cyber threats and oversees the company’s threat intelligence strategy and operations.
NCC Group, with over 2,000 employees in 12 countries, serves clients across various industries, including finance, healthcare, government, and technology. Matt’s strong communication skills have been vital to his success, enabling effective stakeholder management and alignment towards common goals. His consultancy experience allows him to provide expert guidance and advice to clients regularly.
Besides his role at NCC Group, Matt is a recognized figure in the cybersecurity industry. He appeared on Channel 4’s “Hunted” as a digital investigations and OSINT specialist. He also serves as a Committee Member for the Cyber Threat Intelligence Professionals, contributing to best practices and standards in the field.
Before joining NCC Group, Matt spent over a decade as a Detective Constable at Cheshire Police, where he investigated and solved numerous cybercrime cases. A sought-after speaker, he has presented at several industry conferences on threat intelligence and cybersecurity topics.
