Stefan Holzberger – senior managing director and chief rating officer AM Best
Stefan Holzberger has joined A.M. Best Europe – Rating Services Limited in the role of managing director, analytics. Mr. Holzberger based in London and reports directly to Roger Sellek, chief executive officer – A.M. Best EMEA & Asia Pacific. Mr. Holzberger’s primary responsibility will be the management of A.M. Best’s credit ratings throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Stefan brings to the London office wide-ranging knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry combined with key technical skills in company analysis and rating across the sector. His leadership of our analytical team will play a critical role as we continue to expand A.M. Best’s ratings coverage across the EMEA region.
During his ten years at A.M. Best, Stefan has held several senior positions in the Rating Division in corporate headquarters in the US. He has extensive experience in the insurance sector and has worked on the credit ratings of a wide range of insurance and reinsurance organisations. Stefan has been closely involved with the development of A.M. Best’s credit-rating criteria across a broad range of industry sectors and regularly represents the Company as a speaker on insurance-market topics at conferences and seminars.
