UK fintech Zilch has announced its largest product expansion since launch, introducing two membership tiers and two payment features designed to increase customer rewards and provide greater flexibility in managing purchases and short-term finances.
The expansion includes Zilch Extra and Zilch Plus memberships, alongside Zilch Advance, an early salary access service, and Pay Monthly, which allows customers to finance larger purchases over periods of up to 12 months.
- Zilch has launched two membership tiers, Extra and Plus, offering enhanced spending rewards, personalized offers, financial insights and priority customer support.
- Zilch Plus offers up to 6% in rewards on debit transactions and 1% on credit purchases, while Advance allows eligible customers to access up to £100 of their salary seven days early.
- The new Pay Monthly feature allows customers to spread purchases over three, six or 12 months, with fees disclosed upfront under their existing regulated credit agreement.
The products respond to findings from Zilch’s Credit Confidence Study, which surveyed more than 10,000 UK adults.
According to the research, 45% of consumers want credit products that provide rewards and savings, while 47% want financial products that help them manage spending.
Zilch is introducing the services within its existing payments and regulated credit framework, with additional rewards and financing options available according to membership and eligibility.
Zilch Extra and Plus expand customer rewards
The two membership tiers extend Zilch’s rewards offering across everyday purchases, with additional benefits including priority customer support and access to Advance for eligible members.
Zilch Extra uses an open banking connection to provide more relevant offers, spending insights and rewards across retailers.
The service combines transaction information with personalized benefits, allowing customers to monitor spending and access offers without restricting rewards to a single retailer.
Zilch Plus provides higher rewards on eligible purchases made using the company’s payment services. Members can earn up to 6% back in rewards when paying by debit and up to 1% when using credit.
The highest available reward rates can be accessed by enabling the Zilch card in the company’s app before completing a purchase.
The new tiers extend the company’s membership model beyond payment financing, incorporating spending analysis, retailer offers and transaction-based rewards.
Zilch Advance provides early salary access of up to £100
Zilch Advance allows eligible customers to access up to £100 of their salary as much as seven days before their scheduled payday.
The feature uses AI-enabled open banking technology and income verification to assess eligibility and facilitate early access to earnings.
Repayment is collected automatically when the customer’s income arrives.
Advance operates under the customer’s existing, fully regulated Zilch credit agreement, removing the need to submit a separate application or manage an additional credit product. Fees apply to the service.
The feature is intended for customers seeking short-term flexibility over the timing of their income and expenditure.
Pay Monthly introduces three, six and 12-month financing
Zilch has also introduced Pay Monthly, allowing customers to spread the cost of larger purchases across three, six or 12 months.
The financing feature extends the company’s existing payment options by providing longer repayment periods for customers who prefer to distribute purchase costs over several months.
Applicable fees are disclosed upfront at checkout, allowing customers to review the cost of financing before completing a transaction.
Zilch positions Pay Monthly as an alternative to high-interest credit cards and personal loans. Like the company’s other credit products, Pay Monthly operates under the customer’s existing regulated credit agreement.
The introduction of longer repayment terms gives Zilch customers additional financing options without requiring a separate credit arrangement.
Zilch expands its UK payments and credit offering
The four additions bring rewards, spending management, early salary access and longer-term purchase financing into Zilch’s existing platform.
Extra and Plus focus on membership benefits and transaction rewards, while Advance addresses short-term access to income and Pay Monthly extends repayment flexibility.
The expansion follows Zilch’s research showing consumer demand for credit products that combine financial management tools with savings and rewards.
For eligible customers, the new services will be available through existing Zilch accounts and credit agreements, with access to specific features and benefits determined by the applicable product conditions.
