Hanwha Life is running a five-day training program in South Korea for 30 standout FinTech students from Vietnam, part of its global CSR initiative FuturePlus.
The sessions, held from November 10 to 14, stretch across Hanwha Life’s HQ in the 63 Building, its LIFEPARK training institute, and the DREAMPLUS Gangnam innovation hub.
The selected participants include winners of the Vietnam Informatics Olympiad, top VKU FinTech students, HUTECH scholarship holders, and young professionals from Ho Chi Minh City’s Finance Mentor Program.
Each of them represents Vietnam’s fast-rising generation of digital finance talent.
The program opened with a welcome ceremony at Hanwha Life’s Yeouido headquarters before the group toured DREAMPLUS Gangnam, the company’s startup incubator that links global innovators with Korea’s FinTech scene.
From there, things moved quickly – lectures on AI-driven insurance, talks on InsurTech’s role in financial markets, and hands-on workshops with Hanwha Life’s AI team and external experts gave students a clear look into the technology shaping modern insurance.
Participants later visited Korea University and Sogang University, where they attended lectures by Professors Jang Ho Kim and Yoo Shin Jung, followed by campus tours and networking sessions.
The week wraps up with “A Night of FuturePlus,” a collaborative event where the students will share what they’ve learned and discuss how to drive FinTech innovation back home in Vietnam.
Hanwha Life launched FuturePlus to strengthen financial and ICT talent pipelines across Vietnam.
The company has already introduced a FinTech major at VKU, backed the Vietnam Informatics Olympiad’s AI track, and run community-focused programs like the Finance Mentor initiative. Together, these efforts aim to lift financial literacy while building local tech capacity.
Suk Hyun Lim, Hanwha Life’s Executive Director and Head of Corporate Planning, said the program creates a real opportunity for young Vietnamese talent to find direction in their FinTech careers.
We hope this training program in South Korea will serve as a valuable opportunity for outstanding FinTech talents in Vietnam to explore practical career and entrepreneurial paths.
Suk Hyun Lim, Executive Director and Head of Corporate Planning Division at Hanwha Life
He added that Hanwha Life plans to keep supporting the next generation of innovators, helping them bring financial knowledge and digital skills back into their communities.
We think this kind of cross-border training is more than CSR polish – it’s pipeline building. Hanwha’s betting that the next wave of FinTech growth in Asia might just start in classrooms, not boardrooms.
