Insurtech AIFT and Shin Kong Life Insurance partnered to expand into Vietnam

Insurtech AIFT, a technology provider of AI safety and security solutions with a presence across Asia and the Middle East, and Shin Kong Life Insurance have signed a cooperation agreement to expand into Vietnam’s digital insurance sector.

The agreement combines AIFT’s IXT digital insurance platform with Shin Kong Vietnam Co. Ltd.’s local distribution capacity and market knowledge.

The companies plan to build a hybrid insurance model that aligns with regulatory requirements and supports scalable, cost-efficient product delivery in Southeast Asia. This collaboration supports Taiwan’s fintech sector in expanding its presence across regional markets.

Michelle Ip, CEO of AIFT Enterprise, stated that AIFT works to connect insurers with online and offline digital businesses to form a new digital insurance structure.

She added that AIFT will continue developing its presence in Southeast Asia with the support of operationally experienced partners such as Shin Kong Life.

AIFT aims to connect insurers with offline and online digital players to create an unprecedented digital ecosystem

Michelle Ip, chief executive officer, AIFT Enterprise, said

“AIFT will continue to cultivate the Southeast Asian market and work with partners like Shin Kong Life, which possesses deep operational experience, to drive innovation,” Michelle Ip said.

Shin Kong Vietnam previously worked with PetroVietnam Insurance to launch motor, travel, and health insurance products. With the integration of AIFT’s IXT templates and processes, Shin Kong Vietnam is now launching a digital insurance app focused on offering scenario-based and group insurance products.

The company also plans to expand cooperation with Dai-ichi Life Vietnam.

The collaboration began through AIFT’s engagement with FinTechSpace Taiwan, a project backed by Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission. The companies initially targeted Taiwanese businesses and citizens in Vietnam and now plan to broaden services to local Vietnamese customers and others in Southeast Asia.

AIFT and Kyobo DTS

In March 2025, AIFT and Kyobo DTS, a prominent technology services group headquartered in South Korea, announced a strategic partnership to deliver GenAI Vulnerability Assessment and Protection solutions in the South Korean market.

As part of this collaboration, Kyobo Life Insurance has participated in AIFT’s most recent fundraising round as a strategic investor.

This investment underscores Kyobo Life’s commitment to driving AI safety and security innovation, positioning both organizations to address the rapidly evolving demands of enterprise AI.

Following the passage of the Framework Act on Artificial Intelligence Development and Establishment of a Foundation for Trustworthiness (AI Framework Act) on December 26, 2024 — set to take effect in 2026 — organizations in South Korea must identify, evaluate, and mitigate AI-related risks throughout an AI system’s lifecycle, while also implementing a risk management system to monitor and address AI safety incidents.

AIFT’s Vulcan GenAI Attack and Protect platforms are designed to fulfill these regulatory requirements through proactive security strategies and responsible AI development.
