MetLife appoints Jane Slusark as chief communications officer

MetLife appoints Jane Slusark as chief communications officer. She will manage global communications, covering internal messaging, external relations, and media coordination.

She is Global communications leader with experience in financial services, agriculture and food, and public service. Skilled in crisis communications, M&A, media relations, internal communications, and executive communications. In-house and agency roles.

Before joining MetLife, Slusark was the Head of Global Communications at Principal Financial Group.

In that capacity, she led a team focused on advancing the company’s growth priorities through various communication strategies, including external, employee, executive, and corporate communications

There, she led communication efforts across external, employee, executive, and corporate channels to support business growth.

Before her time at Principal, she held senior communications roles in agriculture, government, and financial services.

Slusark’s career includes leadership roles in communications across the agriculture, government, and financial services sectors.

She holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from Drake University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Iowa

Earlier this month, MetLife Investment Management named Brian Funk as interim president, replacing Jude Driscoll. MIM is the institutional asset management arm of MetLife Inc.
