Insurance payments platform One Inc appoints fintech veteran Bryan Thompson as CTO

One Inc, a U.S.-based financial technology company that provides digital payment solutions tailored for the insurance industry, appointed Bryan Thompson as Chief Technology Officer, placing him in charge of the company’s technology strategy and development roadmap.

Thompson will oversee global IT operations, product engineering, enterprise security, and innovation programs.

His mandate includes shaping the long-term technology architecture supporting the firm’s digital payments network for the insurance sector.

The executive brings more than three decades of experience in fintech and software platforms. His background spans enterprise technology, SaaS development, security infrastructure, and large-scale system modernization.

According to Beinsure analysts, insurers increasingly rely on payment infrastructure providers as premium collection and claims payouts shift toward digital channels.

Across both startup and enterprise environments, Thompson has guided financial services and SaaS companies through acquisitions, integrations, and operational transformation programs.

He also built data and AI platforms designed to improve service reliability, efficiency, and customer experience.

Before joining One Inc, Thompson served as Chief Technology Officer at 8am, previously known as AffiniPay. In that role he supported rapid SaaS expansion while managing several acquisitions.

Earlier he held the CTO position at Heartland Payment Systems, where he led modernization of merchant payment services used across multiple industries.

His earlier career included leadership roles at Electronic Data Systems. There he developed experience in high-volume transaction processing systems, a capability closely connected to One Inc’s focus on handling complex insurance payments at scale.

Ian Drysdale, Chief Executive Officer of One Inc, said Thompson’s leadership in technology, engineering, security, and infrastructure will support the company’s efforts to expand its digital payments network across the insurance ecosystem.

Bryan’s track record leading technology development, engineering, security, and infrastructure will be critical as we build new capabilities that allow carriers to operate more efficiently and deliver on the promise of insurance.

Thompson said the company has built a strong reputation developing technology designed specifically for insurance operations.

He plans to work with management to expand platform capabilities as insurers deploy payment technologies aimed at improving operational efficiency and delivering smoother policyholder experiences.

One Inc provides digital payment infrastructure used by more than 300 insurance carriers. The platform processes around $120 bn in insurance premiums and claims payments each year.

The company focuses exclusively on insurance transactions, offering payment processing, communication tools, and digital settlement systems for complex claims.
