Charlotte Koep, CEO at Root, expressed pride in offering external developers the opportunity to become Root certified and work on a freelance basis. Lourens Pelser, from Root’s Customer Operations team, added that the program is a natural next step for Root. It allows developers to work on interesting projects, develop their skills, and build a strong reputation in the InsurTech market.

The company has collected over 20 bn miles of driving data to enhance its pricing models. Customers can manage their policies and file claims through Root’s mobile app, which has been downloaded more than 12 mn times.
