Iuri Struta is a Senior Research Associate at S&P Global Market Intelligence, specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the technology sector, with a strong emphasis on fintech and artificial intelligence. His expertise lies in analyzing trends and assessing market dynamics within these rapidly evolving areas.
Since joining S&P Global in 2022, Iuri has contributed to M&A research, focusing on the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) sector. He initially served as the Lead TMT Reporter for Europe before moving into his current research role. Before S&P Global, he held a prominent position at Insightia, where he was Vice President of Activism and M&A Editorial, leading research on shareholder activism and vulnerability assessments.
Iuri’s career began with roles that combined journalism and analysis. As a Senior Financial Journalist at Activist Insight Ltd., he gained extensive experience covering financial and activist markets, which he did for over eight years. He also has experience in IT consulting, having worked as a consultant for Studio Form in Milan for nearly four years.
In terms of education, Iuri holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and a master’s degree in International Business from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. His background in international business and his analytical expertise make him a significant asset in his current role, particularly in navigating the complex landscape of technology sector M&A.
