Jacob Foster Davis – COO & Co-Founder at BreachBits
Jacob Foster Davis, C|CISO, is an EC-Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer and Co-Founder of BreachBits, a cyber risk rating and monitoring company that evaluates and tests organizations from a hacker’s perspective to empower them to anticipate attacks.
He served for 15 years in the U.S. military where he built and led the U.S. Navy’s premier cyber resiliency exercise and co-authored the Secretary of the Navy’s Cybersecurity Readiness Review. He also specializes in cyber risk management and goal-oriented unsupervised Complex Adaptive Systems.
I lead diverse teams to meet the biggest challenges in cybersecurity, technology, and risk management. Cyber risk is just like any other risk – so treat it the same. If you grow a culture of risk management, accountability, and self-inspection – you are on track to building a secure organization.
I believe in the power of “Red Teaming” (scrimmaging to “attack” your ideas, projects, and organization – making them stronger). It supports a culture of self-reflection, thought diversity, and risk management that is necessary to create a secure organization. I believe in it so much that I’ve staked my livelihood on it by co-founding BreachBits, a cyber Red Teaming company that uses automation and AI to do things that humans can’t.
