Matt Tuite – Director of Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) at AM Best
Matthew Tuite is the Director of Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) at AM Best, based in Oldwick, New Jersey. He has extensive experience in actuarial analysis, risk assessment, and insurance-linked securities, with a career spanning over a decade in the insurance and reinsurance industries.
Tuite was appointed Director of Insurance-Linked Securities in January 2025, following his tenure as Associate Director from November 2021 to January 2025. At AM Best, he leads ILS market analysis, assessing capacity trends, catastrophe bond performance, and investor sentiment. His work includes rating analyses for reinsurance companies with exposure to risks such as property catastrophes, financial guaranties, and mortgage credit risks.
Before joining AM Best, Tuite worked at Hudson Insurance Group for over five years. As an Actuarial Manager, he provided pricing support for specialty casualty programs and personal umbrella products. Prior to Hudson, he spent five years at AIG, where he performed reserve analyses for environmental insurance segments and handled financial reporting.
Tuite holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Rutgers University (2007–2011). He is also an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, demonstrating his expertise in actuarial science and risk modeling.
