Vivek Agrawal – senior partner in McKinsey’s Minneapolis office

Vivek’s work focuses on performance transformations in financial institutions both in North America and in Asia, particularly in insurance, asset management, and wealth management.

During his tenure, Vivek has been head of McKinsey’s insurance work for the Asia–Pacific region, head of its life insurance work for North America, and managing partner for the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Vivek has authored numerous articles on innovation and performance in financial services, the most recent being The Life Journey, a series of perspectives on what winners are doing to separate themselves in life insurance markets in the United States, Japan, Korea, China, India, and Southeast Asia. He has also served as a fellow of the McKinsey Global Institute where he coauthored studies on productivity growth in the US economy and on the impact of foreign-direct investments.
