AXIS launched US-based AXIS Cyber Incident Commander

AXIS Capital has launched of a new service for US-based, direct primary cyber insurance customers – AXIS Cyber Incident Commander.

With a focus on speed of response, Incident Commander provides policyholders who are hit with a cyber incident with a single point of contact to access immediate guidance from experienced cyber experts.

By providing streamlined, rapid access to the services customers need in a cyber incident, AXIS Cyber Incident Commander aims to help get businesses back up and running more quickly, minimize the impact of the incident, and reduce the stress in what can be a complex and unnerving process

Services available through Incident Commander include legal counsel, digital forensics, incident response, and crisis and reputational management. These are provided by AXIS approved, trusted third-party vendors that already work closely with the AXIS Cyber Risk Advisory and Cyber Claims team in supporting customers towards a recovery after an incident.

US-based AXIS Cyber Incident Commander

Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Incident Commander’s complimentary, rapid triage and support services can be accessed by email or phone.

The service is available from the moment an incident occurs and throughout the process, until the point where the case can be seamlessly transferred to the Cyber Insurance Claims team to manage the onward claims process.

As part of AXIS Cyber Risk Advisory, Incident Commander will be led by Nicholas P.R. Steinmann. With a background in digital forensics and incident response, Mr. Steinmann joined AXIS in May 2024 and is based in New York.

The launch of Incident Commander, and the appointment of Nick to team, enables to expand the risk advisory solutions AXIS provide to help businesses prepare, protect, and respond to cyber risks amid an evolving cyber risk landscape.
