Beagle Labs raises $4.1 mn for AI insurance underwriting platform

Beagle Labs has raised $4.1 mn in pre-seed funding to expand its AI-enhanced property intelligence platform for commercial insurance underwriting.

Chingona Ventures led the round. Sovereign’s Capital, Remarkable Ventures, C2 Ventures, South Loop Ventures and Red Bike Capital also participated.

The company develops technology for insurance carriers, MGAs and MGUs that need property and liability information beyond what remote inspection methods provide. Beagle Labs combines field inspections with AI analysis, giving underwriters property data intended for use during risk assessment and pricing.

Its platform targets a process that often takes insurers weeks or months. Physical property inspections remain costly and labor-intensive, with incomplete information sometimes requiring additional research or repeat work.

Beagle Labs delivers inspection data and related analysis through a single platform. The company says its system gives underwriting teams access to customized property information faster than conventional inspection services.

Dwight Neptune, co-founder and CEO of Beagle Labs, said property insurers spend significant time researching individual risks before reaching underwriting decisions. The company aims to reduce this manual work by combining detailed property inspections with AI-based risk analysis.

According to Neptune, faster access to property information gives underwriters a fuller view of individual locations without extending the inspection cycle. The platform packages those findings into underwriting-ready data rather than leaving teams to assemble information across separate sources.

Beagle Labs combines AI-enhanced inspections with a nationwide network of more than 7,000 verified field inspectors equipped to use its technology. The network provides on-demand coverage across the United States.

The company says it completes in-field inspection orders within 14 days or less. Traditional property inspections often require 30 days or longer, according to Beagle Labs, with errors sometimes forcing insurers to request additional work.

The platform places property signals in one interface, giving insurers and agents a single location for inspection findings and related risk information. Beagle Labs uses the data to support underwriting decisions and property pricing.

Samara Hernandez, founding partner of Chingona Ventures, said delayed or inaccurate property information leaves insurers with gaps during risk assessment. She said Beagle Labs gives carriers and agents faster access to information used when evaluating commercial properties.

Beagle Labs developed and tested the platform over three years before bringing it to market in 2026. Several insurance carriers already use the technology, alongside MGAs, MGUs and wholesale brokerages across the United States.

Current users operate across commercial property insurance and excess and surplus lines. The platform focuses on risks where underwriting teams often need detailed physical inspection data before binding coverage.

Beagle Labs plans to use the $4.1 mn round to continue developing the platform. Investment will also support additional AI agents designed around customer requirements. The company also plans to expand customer support and hire additional staff as adoption grows.

Beagle Labs describes its product as a property intelligence platform for complex commercial insurance underwriting. It combines field inspections with AI-assisted property and liability analysis to produce risk assessments for underwriting teams.

Carriers, MGAs, MGUs and program administrators receive property information through a single interface. The system is designed to give underwriters ground-level inspection data alongside the property signals required for commercial risk assessment.
