AI-powered narrative intelligence company GUDEA has raised $7 mn in an oversubscribed seed financing round co-led by Mudita Ventures and Collide Capital. The investment will support product development, broader monitoring coverage and expansion of its enterprise business.
GUDEA, which describes its platform as a “Storm Tracker for the Internet,” develops technology that helps organizations identify the origins, participants and potential impact of narratives circulating across digital platforms.
The company targets a growing challenge for businesses and financial markets: online discussions can develop into influential narratives within hours, often before organizations understand who initiated them or how they gained momentum.
According to GUDEA’s internal research, relatively small groups of users displaying inauthentic behavior can account for a disproportionate share of online discussions involving consumer brands, financial markets and other topics.
Such activity can complicate how communications teams, corporate strategists and investor relations professionals assess emerging reputational and business risks.
GUDEA’s platform combines behavioral analysis, graph neural network modeling and real-time monitoring across dozens of online services. Its technology tracks where narratives originate, identifies influential participants and estimates how quickly information may spread.
The system also distinguishes authentic engagement from potentially inauthentic activity and classifies audiences into five categories, providing organizations with information intended to support earlier identification of emerging risks.
GUDEA says its research has contributed to reporting by national news organizations, while its technology is used by Fortune 100 companies and major communications firms. The company was also selected as a finalist for the 2026 SXSW Pitch competition and nominated for a 2026 Webby Award.
“Every organization now operates inside an information environment it does not control and often cannot see,” said Keith Presley, GUDEA’s co-founder and CEO.
Narratives shape markets, brands, and public trust long before they show up in a headline. The demand behind this round reflects a simple reality: leaders need to know what is moving online, who is moving it, and what happens next. We are scaling the platform and the team to give them exactly that.

The funding comes as GUDEA seeks to expand the application of narrative intelligence beyond conventional social media monitoring, with an emphasis on behavioral patterns and the networks responsible for distributing information.
Buddy Foster, an investor at Mudita Ventures, said the firm’s decision to participate reflected its assessment of GUDEA’s technology and existing enterprise relationships.
The information environment has become a core business risk, and GUDEA measures it with a rigor we have not seen anywhere else in the market. Keith and his team pair deep intelligence experience with technology that already delivers for demanding clients, and we are proud to back them as they scale

The new capital will allow GUDEA to increase its platform’s monitoring capabilities and support enterprise adoption as organizations seek more detailed information about the development and distribution of online narratives.
