LexisNexis launches Accurint One AI platform for law enforcement

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has launched Accurint One, a law enforcement technology platform that combines investigative data, advanced analytics and governed artificial intelligence within a single environment for US criminal justice agencies.

The platform is designed to address the fragmentation of investigative information across agency systems, national databases, commercial data providers and separate technologies. It allows investigators to access relevant records, identify relationships, verify information and eliminate false leads without repeatedly switching between disconnected systems.

  • LexisNexis Risk Solutions has introduced Accurint One, a unified investigative platform combining agency records, commercial data, advanced analytics and governed AI.
  • The platform supports case collaboration, mapping, link analysis, investigative timelines and AI-assisted record summaries to help investigators identify connections.
  • Accurint One keeps human oversight central to criminal justice decisions, with authorized investigators responsible for interpreting AI-generated findings and determining actions.

“Law enforcement is fighting 21st-century crime with an investigative technology model largely built in the 20th century,” said Haywood Talcove, CEO of LexisNexis Risk Solutions Government.

Accurint One represents a fundamental break from that model. We have brought data, analytics, and artificial intelligence together for the investigator instead of forcing the investigator to work around the technology.

“This is not about giving law enforcement another tool. It is about providing investigators a fundamentally better way to build a case.”

Accurint One integrates investigative data and AI analytics

Developed in collaboration with criminal justice professionals, Accurint One brings together LexisNexis Risk Solutions data, connected partner information and agencies’ internal records. Its integrated capabilities include investigative searches, case collaboration, geographic mapping, link analysis, analytics and timelines that help investigators reconstruct events and examine relationships between individuals, entities and other case information.

AI-supported functions can summarize records and analyze relationship networks, identifying connections that investigators can examine and corroborate.

The system is intended to support investigations from initial information gathering through evidence assessment and the development of actionable findings.

By consolidating information and analytical tools, Accurint One seeks to reduce the manual work involved in assembling an investigative picture from multiple sources.

Human oversight remains central to AI-assisted investigations

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has incorporated governance controls into Accurint One, recognizing the responsibilities associated with using artificial intelligence in criminal justice.

The company said trained professionals remain responsible for investigative decisions, even when AI systems assist with organizing information, detecting patterns and identifying potential connections.

Authorized users must interpret the findings, assess their relevance and determine what investigative actions are appropriate.

The platform’s approach separates automated analytical assistance from human judgment, with AI supporting the investigation rather than independently directing its outcome.

Accurint One is designed to help law enforcement agencies move from fragmented searches toward a consolidated understanding of cases, giving investigators access to relevant information and analytical capabilities within their existing investigative processes.
