Coalition, the first Active Insurance provider focused on digital risk prevention, has launched the Helios platform through its reinsurance arm, Coalition Re.
This platform gives cedants real-time access to cyber risk exposure data and enables direct portfolio management based on continuously updated information.
Existing cedants can use the Helios platform at no additional cost, while access for new users begins July 1, 2025.
Previously, cedants relied on summary documents to receive cyber risk exposure insights. Now, Helios offers a self-service interface that includes continuous data access.
It applies Coalition’s proprietary analytics, modelling, and large-scale internet-based data collection to support portfolio-level decisions. Cedants can assess catastrophe exposure and identify cyber risk concentrations across technologies and vendors.
The platform also provides portfolio aggregation views and detailed reports for underwriting and risk control.
According to Coalition’s Chief Revenue Officer Shawn Ram, real-time data plays a key role in managing cyber risk portfolios.
He noted that Helios establishes a new standard for data use in the maturing cyber market by allowing cedants to understand systemic risks, aggregation patterns, and catastrophe loads, along with practical guidance for addressing these exposures.
The reinsurance industry must play a more proactive role in risk mitigation. While capital is important, tools that provide real-time data can help insurers manage portfolio risk more effectively by identifying systemic vulnerabilities and trends before losses occur.

Ram further stated that the reinsurance sector needs to adopt a more active approach in mitigating risk. While capital remains important, tools like Helios allow insurers to detect systemic weaknesses and patterns in advance of potential losses, improving portfolio-level decision-making.
Coalition Re supports non-proportional cyber reinsurance treaties and provides a white-labeled cyber insurance product that includes up to 100% quota share backing. This offering allows cedants to add cyber coverage to their existing policies. Both products are globally available and backed by a panel of capacity providers led by Aspen.
