DXC Technology has launched a new set of Assure Smart Apps built on ServiceNow, aimed at helping insurers move faster on AI-led transformation.
The company introduced the apps at the DXC Connect Insurance Executive Forum in March 2026. The products combine DXC’s insurance software experience with ServiceNow’s agentic AI and workflow tools.
Each app runs through DXC’s Assure Platform and is built to support specific operational outcomes rather than broad, slow platform change.
DXC says insurers can modernise in stages instead of forcing large-scale system replacement. That matters. Core systems stay in place, and carriers avoid the time and cost drag that usually comes with full-stack transformation.
The modular workflow apps come pre-integrated with core policy systems and are built to deliver measurable results in 12 weeks or less.
According to DXC, insurers using them can reduce manual work by 30–40% and cut cycle times by up to 30%.
Michael Park, senior vice president of global partnerships and channels at ServiceNow, said the combination of ServiceNow’s agentic AI and workflow technology with DXC’s insurance expertise opens up a new operating model for carriers. He said the partnership is aimed at giving insurers more agility and speed across operations.
By bringing together ServiceNow’s agentic AI and workflow technology and DXC’s deep insurance industry expertise, we’re redefining what’s possible in insurance operations.

DXC launched three apps in the first group: Claims Assistant, Engagement Assistant and Underwriter Assistant.
Claims Assistant is built to unify the full claims lifecycle. DXC said it embeds compliance and audit readiness into the process while cutting system switching and manual reconciliation. The company said it can reduce claim cycle times by up to 35%, which supports faster payouts and a better policyholder experience.
Engagement Assistant focuses on customer interaction across voice, digital and back-office channels. It coordinates digital agents, human agents and analytics in one workflow layer.
DXC said the app automates servicing tasks, improves agent productivity and adds real-time sentiment and compliance insight. The company said customer experience scores can improve by 5–15%.
Underwriter Assistant is designed around submission intake and workflow prioritisation. It gives underwriting teams a single workbench with guided decision support and explainable outputs, without forcing changes to existing policy systems.
DXC also introduced Assure Smart App Studio, a collaborative environment where customers can help shape future apps. The company is using it as a product design channel tied directly to insurer input.
Ray August, president of DXC Insurance Software and Business Process Services, said the company built Smart Apps around the reality of where insurers are today.
He said the aim is to create a path for incremental change, letting carriers upgrade infrastructure at their own pace while still getting business results.
In October, DXC Technology just rolled out a new play: Assure Broking Essentials, an AI-driven SaaS platform built to handle those pain points for small and mid-sized brokers.
DXC describes it as ready-to-deploy, multi-tenant, and compliant out of the box. Security is embedded, ACORD GRLC standards built in, onboarding simplified.
The idea is fast insurtech startup, lighter overhead, and workflows that adapt to evolving regulatory demands while actually improving productivity.
