Insurtech Feather sequred €6 mn in funding led by Keen Venture

Insurtech Feather, a startup offering digital insurance for expats in Europe, has secured €6 mn in funding. Keen Venture Partners led the round, with additional investment from Plural and leaders from Allianz, AXA, and Bastian.

Investors include Tom Blomfield, founder of Monzo; Matt Robinson of GoCardless and Nested; Gino Cordt, CTO of N26; and Tony Jamous, founder of Oyster.

This new capital will support Feather’s expansion across Europe. The goal is to create a comprehensive insurance product for expats, allowing seamless coverage adjustments when moving between countries.

Feather bootstrapped for two years before its first funding round in 2021. The total raised now stands at €10 mn.

Founded in 2018 by Rob Schumacher and Vincent Audoire during their time at Entrepreneur First’s Berlin cohort, Feather emerged from the founders’ struggles with Germany’s insurance system.
