Startup Paraglide raises €4.2 mn to automate accounts receivable with AI

Paraglide, a Malmö-based startup building AI agents for accounts receivable (AR), has raised €4.2 mn in Seed funding to accelerate product development and expand across Europe.

The round was co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and DN Capital, with participation from Born Capital and The Nordic Web Ventures.

Paraglide focuses on one of finance’s most operationally intensive functions: accounts receivable. Its AI agents automate two-way billing communication across the AR lifecycle, handling customer billing questions, following up on overdue invoices, and taking action directly across the financial stack to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash flow.

Alex Ferrara of Bessemer Venture Partners said Paraglide addresses a clear efficiency gap in finance operations, noting that while AI has already transformed customer support, accounts receivable remains an area where automation can unlock significant value by freeing up cash and reducing manual workload for finance teams.

The company was founded by Rasmus Areskoug and Andreas Åström, formerly CFO and Head of Engineering at GetAccept.

Drawing on firsthand experience, the founders set out to modernise AR processes that still rely heavily on manual follow-ups and templated reminders.

“As a former CFO, I’ve seen finance teams overwhelmed by billing queries and invoice chasing,” said Areskoug, CEO and co-founder of Paraglide.

AI agents can now manage billing conversations end to end, helping businesses get paid on time while allowing finance teams to focus on more strategic work.

Unlike traditional AR tools that rely on one-way payment reminders, Paraglide’s AI agents conduct full two-way conversations, replying within existing email threads in a personalised and contextual way at scale.

The platform is designed for high-volume B2B finance teams operating across multiple customers and systems.

The new funding will be used to further develop Paraglide’s AI-native AR platform, support European market expansion, and deepen agentic automation capabilities for finance teams.

Paraglide reports early traction among mid-market and enterprise customers including Choco, Ardoq, and Spiideo, and partnerships with companies such as Chargebee.

According to the company, early customers have seen a 34% reduction in DSO and achieved financial inbox-zero within the first week of onboarding.
