Amdocs expands into insurance with EIS acquisition
Amdocs sees similarities between telecommunications and insurance, particularly their reliance on complex technology platforms, data-intensive processes and operations subject to extensive regulatory oversight.
The company intends to combine EIS’ insurance expertise with its engineering resources, managed services and digital transformation capabilities.
Central to the strategy is aOS, Amdocs’ agentic operating system, originally developed for telecommunications. The company plans to extend the technology into insurance, bringing AI-driven automation to core business processes while maintaining governance and operational accountability.
Expanding into a new vertical is a key pillar of our growth strategy, and today we are taking an important first step.
Shimie Hortig, President and Chief Executive Officer of Amdocs
“Our vision is to become the partner of choice for insurers, helping them accelerate their journey to the agentic era – bringing AI into the core with the governance and accountability a regulated industry requires. EIS gives us a strong foundation to pursue that vision and build a meaningful insurance business over time,” said Shimie Hortig.
EIS brings AI-native insurance technology to Amdocs
EIS’ OneSuite platform, powered by CoreGentic, supports multiple insurance lines, geographic markets and cloud environments.
The platform integrates policy administration, billing, claims, customer management, insurance product development and distribution through AI-enabled automation, open application programming interfaces (APIs) and governed execution.
Its architecture is designed to help insurers introduce products faster, reduce the cost of system changes and adapt customer services without extensive modifications to their underlying technology.
Amdocs plans to integrate aOS with these capabilities, extending automation across insurance workflows and supporting increasingly autonomous operations.
EIS has always focused on helping insurers adapt and innovate at the speed of their business.
Alec Miloslavsky, Founder of EIS
“We share Amdocs’ vision of bringing industry-specific AI into core operations. Combining aOS with EIS’ platform and insurance expertise can bring new agentic capabilities to insurers and accelerate innovation. I’m excited about what we can achieve together for our customers, partners and people,” said Alec Miloslavsky.
Amdocs targets long-term growth in AI-powered insurance software
The transaction gives Amdocs an established insurance customer base and a technology platform through which to expand beyond its traditional telecommunications business.
Amdocs develops, modernizes and operates mission-critical systems, providing services spanning technology transformation, implementation and ongoing operations.
Its aOS platform applies industry-specific AI across business, IT and network processes, supporting greater automation while retaining operational controls.
Within insurance, Amdocs intends to apply these capabilities to policy administration, billing, claims and customer engagement, helping carriers modernize legacy technology and incorporate AI into existing operations.
