- Insurify has launched its AI Agent Gateway, allowing personal AI agents to retrieve and compare real-time insurance quotes from its marketplace.
- The platform supports MCP connections, WebMCP browser tools and a dedicated interface for AI agents, including OpenAI’s Dots, Meta’s Muse and Instinct.
- The gateway is designed to preserve coverage details, protect consumer information and give insurers access to AI-assisted distribution.
Insurify launched its AI Agent Gateway, giving personal AI assistants, including OpenAI’s Dots, Meta’s Muse and Instinct, direct access to real-time insurance quotes and policy comparisons through its marketplace.
The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company, which previously introduced what it described as the first ChatGPT plugin for insurance shopping, said the gateway establishes common requirements for handling consumer information, preserving coverage details and presenting insurance carrier quotes.
People should be able to use the AI agent they choose to shop for insurance and have confidence in the information they receive.

How Insurify’s AI Agent Gateway works
The gateway provides three connection methods designed for different types of AI assistants, including applications that communicate directly with external services and agents that navigate websites on behalf of consumers.
The gateway offers a supported option for each:
- A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. A direct connection for AI assistants and apps that use MCP, an open standard many AI tools use to connect to outside services.
- WebMCP tools on Insurify.com. Tools built into Insurify that let AI agents working in a web browser complete shopping steps directly, rather than reading and clicking through each page. WebMCP is a proposed web standard for connecting websites to AI agents.
- A dedicated web interface for personal AI agents. An optimized version of Insurify’s shopping experience built for agents that navigate websites on a consumer’s behalf.
All three interfaces connect to the same insurance marketplace and operate under consistent consumer protection requirements.
Insurance coverage details remain central to AI shopping
Insurify’s approach addresses the need to retain essential policy information when insurance shopping takes place through AI conversations rather than conventional comparison websites.
Insurance decisions depend on more than premium prices. Coverage limits, deductibles, eligibility requirements and policy disclosures can materially affect whether a product meets a consumer’s needs.
The gateway is designed to keep those details accessible, accurate and understandable as AI assistants collect and compare quotes.
