Paul Davies has decided to retire as vice chair of Aon

Paul Davies has decided to retire as vice chair of Aon after a 36 years at the firm and 63 years in the brokerage industry.

Davies took on the vice chair role in 2023, reporting to Aon CEO Greg Case, and helped advise the firm on the evolving risk management landscape and the development of Aon’s Risk Capital capability.

On behalf of our colleagues, I want to recognize Paul for his extraordinary contributions to the firm in service of our clients.

Davies started his distinguished career in risk management as a reinsurance broker in 1961, and later served as the president and owner of Reinsurance Agency, which became part of Aon in 1988. Subsequently, Davies served as the founder and CEO of Aon Reinsurance and then chairman of Aon Re Worldwide.
