Sapiens International Corporation, a global software provider for the insurance industry, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire AdvantageGo, a commercial insurance software company focused on underwriting workbench solutions for the London and international markets.

The acquisition expands Sapiens’ property and casualty (P&C) offerings by adding underwriting tools that address risk assessment, management, and decision-making.

AdvantageGo will be integrated into the Sapiens Insurance Platform for P&C and also offered independently. These capabilities will serve existing P&C clients in EMEA and APAC, while also improving Sapiens’ support for insurers in North America dealing with specialty and commercial lines.

The acquisition supports Sapiens’ strategy to increase its presence in the London Specialty Market and the reinsurance sector.

AdvantageGo brings tools designed for use in high-risk insurance negotiations, typically carried out through Lloyd’s of London and the London Company Market.

By incorporating AdvantageGo, Sapiens aims to expand its offerings in a market where underwriters and brokers require advanced systems for complex coverage.

Martin Higgins, Senior Principal at Datos Insights, stated that Sapiens is the first major core system vendor to integrate underwriting workbench capabilities directly into its platform. He noted this integration addresses an immediate need for insurers working with complex commercial lines.

Sapiens President and CEO Roni Al-Dor described the acquisition as part of the company’s broader strategy of growth through targeted deals. He said that adding AdvantageGo broadens the company’s portfolio, global reach, and team expertise. Al-Dor also emphasized Sapiens’ ongoing investment in AdvantageGo’s products to ensure continuity and future improvements.

The underwriting workbench market has grown significantly as insurers recognize the value of sophisticated decision support tools.

“Sapiens is breaking ground by being the first major core system vendor to integrate these capabilities directly into their platform. This approach delivers immediate value for insurers handling complex specialty and commercial lines, addressing a critical gap in the current technology landscape,” Martin Higgins said.

Ian Summers, Global Business Leader of AdvantageGo, said the acquisition will expand the company’s capabilities and client opportunities. He confirmed AdvantageGo will continue to deliver consistent service during the transition, while working to integrate with the Sapiens platform for the European and North American markets.

In 2024, AdvantageGo reported revenue of £15mn under US GAAP, with around 50% from recurring sources. Gross margin was accretive to Sapiens.

However, due to recent product investments, the company posted a £9mn loss for the year. Sapiens expects AdvantageGo to grow at a double-digit rate by 2026, with profit contributions beginning in 2027 as integration progresses and revenue increases.

The acquisition, valued at £43mn on a cash basis, is expected to close in the coming weeks. Once finalized, AdvantageGo will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sapiens.

BDA Partners and William Blair served as financial advisors to Coforge. JSA provided legal counsel to Coforge, and Meitar acted as legal advisor to Sapiens.

With over 30 years of industry experience, AdvantageGo delivers a single, modular platform designed specifically for specialty and commercial (re)insurers that empowers underwriters with an underwriting workbench, exposure management and policy administration modules that drive the complete policy lifecycle from pre-bind risk and portfolio assessment value to policy renewals and beyond.
