Rishikesh Sivakumar, CFA – Associate Director, Insurance Fitch Ratings

A well-versed debt capital markets professional, with several years of experience as a lead analyst covering investment-grade and high-yield issuers/issuances in financial and non-financial industries.

Currently based in London as an Associate Director at Fitch Ratings and the lead responsibility for a portfolio of issuers including life and non-life insurers, annuity writers, retirement solution providers and wealth managers in the UK, Sub-Saharan Africa and Middle-East.

He was previously part of Fitch’s Asia-Pacific insurance ratings team and was also involved in the coverage of the rating agency’s Industrial Corporate portfolio based in Sri Lanka. He have authored several research pieces in the Fixed-Income space, covering credit developments across Insurance and Industrial Corporate sectors.

Prior experience: Consultant at KPMG’s Deal Advisory team and a buy-side Investment Research Analyst for the equity fund of Capital Alliance Limited, a leading investment bank based in Sri Lanka.

Certifications / Education: CFA Charterholder, Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA, UK) and graduated from Oxford Brookes University (BSc in Applied Accounting, First Class Honours).
