Aon, NFP and Quálitas launch Conduzco Seguros, online auto insurance for U.S.-Mexico drivers

Aon has rolled out Conduzco Seguros, an online auto insurance product designed for U.S. Spanish-speaking drivers who frequently cross into Mexico.

Built in partnership with Quálitas Compañía de Seguros — one of Mexico’s largest auto insurers — the program is positioned as a tailored solution for a growing community that often finds itself underserved by traditional offerings.

Oversight of the initiative will sit with Nate Watson, managing director of Cross-Border Insurance at NFP.

Watson described the launch as a first-of-its-kind move. He said Conduzco Seguros grants Spanish-speaking drivers in the U.S. direct access to Quálitas’ coverage, ensuring that their policies are recognized and supported by a trusted Mexican carrier when traveling south of the border.

“This industry-first product gives the U.S. Spanish-speaking market exclusive access to Quálitas, Mexico’s leading auto insurer. With trust and confidence, our clients know that their auto coverage needs will be met by a Mexican insurance company when traveling into Mexico. It’s a meaningful step in better serving this growing community.”

For Watson, it’s a step toward aligning NFP’s cross-border and personal risk portfolio with the realities of its client base, one built around trust, cultural understanding, and frequent travel needs.

The demand is obvious. Millions of Spanish speakers in the U.S. have strong personal ties to Mexico and drive across the border for holidays, family gatherings, and other obligations. The flow is constant.

Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Illinois stand out as states where cross-border trips are most common. For these drivers, having insurance valid in Mexico is not an occasional luxury but a recurring requirement.

Quálitas executives framed the partnership as a natural evolution. Eram Cárdenas, director of Insurance and head of the Tijuana office, pointed to the company’s three decades of experience in Mexico and highlighted NFP’s track record in cross-border coverage.

With over three decades of experience in the Mexican insurance market, NFP brings a deep understanding of cross-border needs and a strong track record of outstanding service.

“Together, we’re committed to delivering an innovative solution and providing real value to the Spanish-speaking community in the U.S.,” said Eram Cárdenas.

The broader message is clear: Conduzco Seguros aims to carve out a new model for cross-border auto insurance.

By pairing local expertise in Mexico with an online platform accessible to Spanish-speaking communities in the U.S., the program intends to simplify what has often been a confusing, fragmented process.

The bet is that a digital-first channel, backed by established carriers, will resonate with drivers who want reliability without bureaucratic hurdles.
