Concirrus unveils AI-native Inspire underwriting platform

Concirrus, a UK-based insurtech company that develops AI-driven software to modernize specialty and commercial insurance underwriting, has launched Concirrus Inspire, an AI-native underwriting platform built for specialty insurers and MGAs seeking faster decision cycles without loosening risk controls.

The system spans the full underwriting lifecycle, from submission intake and quotation to binding and post-bind portfolio monitoring.

Inspire pairs line-specific underwriting applications with a line-agnostic policy administration layer, allowing carriers to deploy targeted tools while keeping enterprise consistency intact.

Specialty insurers expanding across classes often struggle to maintain visibility into appetite, exposure, and accumulation.

Inspire embeds AI and automation into submission triage, data extraction, rating, and policy administration workflows. Risk selection remains aligned with underwriting guidelines.

The platform follows a modular structure, enabling phased adoption rather than wholesale system replacement.

Modules cover submission intake, quoting, exposure management, portfolio analytics, adaptive workflows, and sanctions screening.

Through a partnership with Diesta, Inspire extends into automated premium payment and reconciliation, linking underwriting decisions to cash management.

Concirrus said underwriters can move from submission to binding-ready decisions within minutes.

Real-time exposure data supports disciplined growth across specialty books, while automation handles repetitive, high-volume tasks.

According to Beinsure analysts, AI-driven underwriting platforms increasingly target expense reduction and portfolio transparency as carriers confront higher catastrophe volatility and capital costs.

Chief Executive Officer Andrew Yeoman described Inspire as a purpose-built underwriting environment rather than an incremental upgrade. He said specialty teams require tools that support speed and discipline in equal measure.

The specialty insurance market is evolving quickly, and underwriting teams need technology that supports both speed and discipline. Inspire is not an incremental upgrade.

“It is an AI-native underwriting platform designed to remove friction, support better decisions, and give insurers the confidence to scale,” Andrew Yeoman said.

Concirrus continues expanding across the UK and US. The company recently achieved combined certification under ISO/IEC 42001 for AI governance, ISO/IEC 27001 for information security, and SOC 2 compliance.

Management said the certifications reinforce its focus on secure, responsible AI deployment as underwriting workflows become more automated and data intensive.
