eToro, an Israeli multinational company that operates an electronic trading platform and social trading system, has agreed to acquire Argentine financial technology company LB Finanzas, establishing Argentina as its regional hub for expansion across Latin America. The transaction marks eToro’s fourth acquisition of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed, and completion remains subject to customary closing conditions.
The deal gives eToro access to an established local financial platform regulated by Argentina’s National Securities Commission and Central Bank. Its infrastructure and market expertise are particularly relevant in a country characterised by currency controls and persistent inflation pressures.

Tali Salomon, eToro’s director for Iberia and Latin America, said the company’s local roots and established customer relationships would support its regional ambitions.
“As someone who grew up in Rosario, I have a close affinity with the LB Finanzas founders and know first-hand the appetite Argentines have for better financial products,” Salomon said. “Argentina is not just our entry point into Latin America, it is the foundation on which we will build across the entire region. For me, this feels like coming home.”
LB Finanzas offers stocks, ETFs, crypto and payment services
Founded eight years ago in Rosario, LB Finanzas operates an integrated financial application combining investment products with payment functionality. Its offering includes equities, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), cryptocurrencies and money market funds, alongside accounts denominated in Argentine pesos and US dollars.
The company has reported growth in both its customer base and trading volumes, reflecting demand among Argentine retail investors for accessible financial services within a single platform.
We started LB Finanzas in Rosario eight years ago with a simple idea: that any Argentine should be able to invest with the same tools people use internationally.

“Joining eToro lets us take that much further. For our clients, nothing changes today. What comes next is more products and more scale with the same team they already know,” said Camilo Cristia.
What changes for eToro and LB Finanzas customers?
Existing customers of both platforms will see no immediate changes to their services.
Over time, eToro intends to integrate the two offerings, providing Argentine users with access to a wider range of investment products and financial services.
The companies have not disclosed an integration timetable or identified which additional products will be introduced.
