Insurtech Aurora raised £2.5mn in seed funding from QBE Ventures

Insurtech Aurora, a digital commercial insurance platform, has raised £2.5 mn in seed funding from QBE Ventures, the investment arm of QBE Insurance Group.

The investment will help Aurora boost its lead algorithmic trading system, broaden its product range, and pursue new commercial distribution deals.

QBE Ventures focuses on early-stage, tech-driven businesses, using its global reach to drive industry innovation.

This partnership aligns with both companies’ goals to create a more data-driven, efficient, and real-time commercial insurance ecosystem.

Aurora’s CEO, Jan-Vincent Finn, expressed excitement about the support from QBE Ventures. He emphasized that Aurora is well-positioned to enhance both its insurers’ and brokers’ offerings, with QBE Ventures having a deep understanding of the business and its future role in the industry.
