Insurtech Intellect AI outlines automation tools for wholesale insurance brokers

Intellect AI has outlined several areas where wholesale insurance brokers are using automation to reduce manual work across commercial placement. The company focused on distribution workflows, submission quality and document review during its Broker Appreciation Month campaign in July.

The campaign included webinars, interviews and product demonstrations involving wholesale brokerage workflows. Intellect AI said the discussions focused on remaining gaps in commercial insurance digitization and how brokers are managing placement processes.

One issue identified by the company was fragmented technology across broker distribution systems. Wholesale brokers often work across several point solutions while relying on agency management systems primarily for record keeping.

Intellect AI positions its Xponent for Distribution platform as an orchestration layer that works alongside existing systems. The platform is designed to organize incoming data and give brokers a central environment for managing placement-related workflows.

We serve as an insurtech transformation partner, providing purpose-built, end-to-end AI powered underwriting solutions tailored to the needs of Commercial, Specialty, and E&S insurance businesses.

IntellectAI’s AI-powered solutions are designed for underwriter effectiveness, efficiency, and sophistication, ultimately boosting underwriter productivity. “Our “Underwriter First” approach, enhances underwriter decision-making with embedded and generative AI, streamlining the entire underwriting value chain from submission ingestion to data enrichment and advanced digital ecosystems”.

Submission quality was another area discussed during the campaign. Wholesale brokers frequently receive incomplete or inconsistent information from retail agents and must spend time collecting missing property or exposure details before approaching carriers.

Intellect AI’s Risk Analyst product is designed to automate parts of this process. The system scans external data sources to validate existing information and add missing data before a submission is sent to an insurer.

The company said cleaner submissions reduce the amount of manual review required during placement. More complete data also gives underwriters additional information when deciding whether to quote an account.

Document review formed the third major area covered by Intellect AI. Brokers often compare large numbers of quotes, binders and policy documents during renewals, creating a risk that differences between documents may be missed. Its Magic Placement product uses the company’s Purple Fabric AI platform to compare insurance documents and identify inconsistencies. Intellect AI said brokers using the technology have reduced document review time by as much as 75%.

The system compares carrier documents side by side and flags differences for review. Intellect AI said this process is intended to help brokers identify potential Errors and Omissions exposure before documents are finalized.

The company expects wholesale distribution firms to continue investing in software that connects placement activities across existing systems. Its current product strategy concentrates on workflow coordination, submission preparation and AI-assisted document analysis.

Intellect AI said demand is particularly visible among wholesale brokers seeking to process higher volumes without increasing manual work at the same rate. The company continues to market its distribution products and case studies to firms evaluating automation across commercial insurance placement.
