MetLife UK has teamed up with YuLife to launch a new Group Income Protection plan aimed at addressing the rising challenge of workplace absenteeism in the UK.

The collaboration provides employees with wellness resources and incentives, accessible through the YuLife app, to promote daily mental and physical well-being activities. This initiative focuses on enhancing employee health to reduce absenteeism.

The plan complements MetLife’s current offerings, including early intervention tools, clinical rehabilitation, and absence management. By providing support to maintain well-being, MetLife and YuLife aim to create a healthier and more productive workforce.

Workplace absenteeism has surged post-COVID, with nearly 2.5 mn adults of working age on long-term sick leave. This partnership seeks to address this trend and redefine standards for Group Income Protection.
