Outmarket AI raises $17 mn to expand AI tools for insurance brokers

Outmarket AI, an insurance-focused AI platform, raised $17 mn in Series A funding. Permanent Capital Ventures led the round, with participation from SignalFire, Fika Ventures, TTV Capital, and Dash Fund.

The round also included strategic investments from independent agency networks, agency owners, and senior insurance executives. The new funding brings Outmarket’s total capital raised to $21.7 mn.

Outmarket will use the capital to expand its platform and develop new AI-driven workflows for commercial, benefits, personal lines, and specialty insurance. The company says its software connects directly to agency management systems and turns fragmented brokerage data into an intelligence layer for daily work.

The platform supports workflows such as automated policy checking and loss run analysis. Outmarket said it is building tools meant to change how brokerages handle complex operational processes.

CEO and co-founder Vishal Sankhla said insurance remains a $6 tn industry still driven by manual processes, institutional knowledge, and disconnected tools. He said Outmarket is not building another isolated point product, but a platform meant to connect those workflows.

The workflows we’re developing next will fundamentally change what’s possible for a brokerage. We chose Permanent Capital Ventures to lead this round because they are operators who understand what it takes to build a category-defining company, and that’s exactly what we intend to do

Vishal Sankhla, CEO and Co-founder of Outmarket AI

Sankhla said the company selected Permanent Capital Ventures because its team understands how to build large category companies. He said the workflows under development will change what brokerages are able to do.

Since launching in March 2025, Outmarket said it has seen strong adoption. Annual recurring revenue has grown 5x year-on-year, and more than 250 major insurance brokerages use the platform daily.

The company said its system processes mn of quotes, policies, applications, and loss run documents. Outmarket estimates the platform saves customers more than a decade of manual work each month.

Customers have reported up to a 65% reduction in errors and omissions through AI-assisted policy comparison and gap detection. Brokerages are also reporting higher win rates and more cross-sell revenue as the platform identifies opportunities inside existing books of business.

Houchens Insurance Group CFO Scott Robinson said Outmarket is the strongest tool his agency has deployed. He said team engagement has been high and the platform helps deliver a better client product in less time.

The platform connects to systems brokerages already use and combines structured and unstructured data into one intelligence layer.

Brokers use the platform to ask questions across their book of business, search carrier appetites in minutes, and run workflows based on their own data. He said that data connection separates Outmarket from generic AI tools.

The funding follows a period of fast growth across the business. Earlier this year, Outmarket hired Alpesh Patel as chief revenue officer.

Patel has more than two decades of enterprise sales experience. He previously held executive roles at Salesforce and DocuSign, where he worked on large insurance-sector deals.

Outmarket’s leadership team combines technical experience from companies including Uber, IBM, Ethos, and Meta with insurance market experience.

The company says that mix has supported adoption among agencies and brokers.

Outmarket now offers production workflows across commercial lines, benefits, and personal lines. It also has native integrations with major agency management systems, including Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, and Nexsure.

The platform includes enterprise security and compliance controls built on SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA. In December 2025, Outmarket launched Proposal Builder, which turns a multi-hour manual process into a task completed in minutes.

The company’s 2026 roadmap includes a broader workflow suite. Outmarket plans to more than double the capabilities available to customers.
