Prudential Financial’s subsidiary signed a $4 bn longevity risk transfer deal with NN Life & Pensions, part of NN Group.
The reinsurance covers about 96,000 policyholders with The Prudential Insurance Company of America, effective July 1, 2025.
This is the second such transaction between the two companies, strengthening Prudential’s footprint in the Netherlands.
Rohit Mathur, head of International Reinsurance at Prudential Retirement Strategies, said the partnership’s history since their first deal in 2023 helped complete the latest transaction quickly.

He noted that demand for longevity risk solutions in the Dutch market remains high, and Prudential aims to support insurers and plan trustees seeking risk management options.
Dylan Tyson, president of Retirement Strategies and leader of Prudential’s Global Retirement Center of Excellence, said the agreement aligns with the company’s plan to expand its Institutional Retirement Strategies in the region.
