Relation Insurance Services acquired the assets of Gary McKeighan Insurance Agency, a Fresno, California-based insurance agency with more than 50 years in the market.
Gary McKeighan Insurance specializes in farm, agricultural and business insurance coverage. The agency also offers personal lines, giving Relation a stronger position in California’s agricultural insurance market.
Jim Kinter, vice president at Gary McKeighan Insurance, said the agency has built its business around customer service and personal attention. He said that customer focus will continue under Relation, with clients gaining access to broader insurance solutions, expanded services and the resources of a national brokerage.
Relation CEO Tim Hall said Kinter and his team bring agricultural insurance expertise and long-standing industry relationships. He said those strengths fit Relation’s existing work in the sector and will help the combined business protect clients’ assets and operations.
Relation Insurance Services continues to seek acquisition partnerships to expand its products, industry knowledge and geographic reach.
The company says it offers insurance entrepreneurs equity ownership opportunities and a people-first model focused on outcomes for employees and clients.
Relation operates as a US insurance brokerage providing risk management and benefits consulting services. Insurance Journal ranks the company among the 25 largest agencies in the country by revenue. Relation has about 1,450 employees across more than 90 locations nationwide.
