Retirable, a startup offering a retirement platform for everyday Americans, announced a $10 mn Series A round led by IA Capital Group, with participation from Nationwide Ventures, Western & Southern Financial Group, Clocktower Ventures, Primary Venture Partners, Portage Ventures, Vestigo Ventures, and SilverCircle.
The company also disclosed a previously unannounced $4.7 mn Seed++ round led by Portage Ventures, bringing total funding to $25 mn.
Founded in 2019 in New York, Retirable provides products and services covering retirement investing, planning, and spending.
The company has built thousands of retirement plans and manages $175 mn in assets, doubling its AUM over the past six months.
About 70% of its users had not worked with a retirement planner before using Retirable. Its advisors assist with investment choices, tax planning, Social Security timing, housing, Medicare enrollment, and healthcare planning.
Retirable also offers tools for retirees, including a debit card, custom investment portfolios, high-yield cash management accounts, and a proprietary bond ladder strategy.
This strategy delivers seven years of predictable income by staggering bond maturities, allowing clients to address short-term needs while investing remaining assets for long-term growth. The method helps protect clients from market volatility and behavioral mistakes.
We started Retirable because there’s a large gap in the market, and too many Americans retire without a plan. Most wealth management firms target the affluent, with minimum account requirements of $500,000 or more.
“The average near-retiree has much less saved and no access to professional advice. We aim to serve this forgotten middle of Americans who deserve confidence and peace of mind in their retirement,” said Tyler End, co-founder and CEO of Retirable.
Retirable’s decumulation platform is the most promising solution we have seen for helping Americans manage their finances in retirement. The platform combines smart automation with a personal, human touch.
“We believe in Tyler and Ian’s vision and their ability to serve this underserved market efficiently and at scale,” said Matt Perlman, Partner at IA Capital Group.
