SiriusPoint, a global underwriter of insurance and reinsurance providing solutions to clients and brokers around the world, has appointed Rachel Winoski as chief human resources officer. She takes up the position on Oct. 5, 2026.
Winoski will work from New York and join SiriusPoint’s Executive Leadership Team. She will report directly to CEO Scott Egan. Winoski joins the specialty insurer from AXA XL, where she served as chief HR officer for the Americas.
She brings more than 15 years of insurance-sector HR leadership experience. Her career includes large organizational transformation programs and acquisition-related work. She has supported company integrations and built global HR functions focused on performance.
Winoski’s experience also covers talent management and workplace culture. Her previous responsibilities included employee relations, compensation and talent acquisition. She has also managed HR operations plus belonging and inclusion programs.
Egan said Winoski brings substantial HR leadership experience to SiriusPoint. He also cited her record in developing high-performing teams and workplace cultures.
Her appointment comes after SiriusPoint spent several years reshaping its business. Egan said the company has focused on performance, defined values and workplace culture. He expects Winoski to continue developing those areas while investing in employees.
According to Egan, SiriusPoint wants colleagues to grow within the organization. Employees should also have opportunities to contribute and perform at their best. Winoski’s leadership will support those objectives across the company.
Winoski succeeds Sarah Smith, SiriusPoint’s interim chief human resources officer since April 2026. Smith led the HR team and joined the Executive Leadership Team during that period.
Egan thanked Smith for her leadership over the previous six months. He also recognized her contribution to SiriusPoint’s senior management team. Smith will continue as HR director, working with operations across the UK and Europe.
