Tune Protect Re, a global travel and lifestyle reinsurer, has teamed up with bolttech Insurance, the Hong Kong-based general insurance division of international insurtech bolttech, to launch AirAsia Travel Insurance for Hong Kong customers. New product is available for all AirAsia Berhad flights departing from Hong Kong.
Through AirAsia Berhad, licensed as bolttech Insurance’s corporate agent, travelers can purchase this insurance directly on the AirAsia website, the AirAsia Move Mobile App, and the Tune Protect AirAsia website.
The insurance offers two plan options: the Lite Comprehensive Plan and the Plus Comprehensive Plan. Both provide coverage for personal accidents, trip cancellations, baggage and flight delays, and include 24-hour worldwide travel assistance.
This initiative aligns with Tune Protect’s strategy to expand regionally and make travel protection accessible. The partnership with bolttech leverages bolttech’s local market expertise alongside Tune Protect’s insurance solutions to address the needs of Hong Kong travelers.

A unique feature of the AirAsia Travel Insurance is the On-Time Guarantee, which issues a payout to customers if their flight is delayed by at least two hours, whether from the original or rescheduled departure time.
