UnderwriteMe, the insurtech company owned by Pacific Life Re, has named Andrew Doran as its new chief executive officer, replacing James Tait with immediate effect.
The company confirmed that Tait has left to pursue other opportunities.
Doran brings over two decades of insurance and reinsurance experience, including five years based in Singapore, where he focused on the Asia markets.
He will return to the United Kingdom to assume his new role.
Before this appointment, Doran served as global chief underwriting officer at Pacific Life Re. During his tenure, he worked closely with UnderwriteMe’s technology to develop underwriting and claims solutions for clients.
In August, Pacific Life Re strengthened its leadership team in the Asia-Pacific region with three new appointments within its protection business.
UnderwriteMe, established in 2012 and based in London, operates as a funded insurtech company specializing in automated, data-driven underwriting solutions.
While specific funding details are not publicly disclosed, the company’s continued operations and recent leadership changes indicate ongoing financial support.
As a subsidiary of Pacific Life Re, UnderwriteMe benefits from the backing of its parent company, which likely contributes to its financial stability and growth.
UnderwriteMe continues to expand its technological offerings and partnerships. For instance, the company recently integrated its Protection Platform with finova Broker CRM, enabling brokers to access a broader range of protection products and streamline their processes.
Such collaborations demonstrate UnderwriteMe’s commitment to enhancing its services and maintaining its position in the insurtech sector.
