Verisk expands insurance AI integrations with Microsoft Copilot, Amazon Quick and Claude

Verisk (Nasdaq: VRSK) has expanded access to its proprietary insurance data through new integrations with Amazon Quick and Microsoft Copilot, alongside additional capabilities within Anthropic’s Claude. The integrations allow authorized insurers to retrieve underwriting information, premium audit resources and property-level weather data using natural-language queries within their existing AI platforms.

  • Verisk has introduced integrations with Amazon Quick and Microsoft Copilot, extending access to proprietary insurance intelligence through enterprise AI platforms.
  • Anthropic’s Claude now offers expanded Verisk Underwriting Intelligence capabilities, including PAAS resources and property-level hail and wind history through Verisk Benchmark.
  • Existing data permissions, customer entitlements and governance controls remain in place as insurers integrate AI into underwriting, claims and research workflows.

The expansion follows the launch of Verisk Underwriting Intelligence in Claude earlier this year. It extends the availability of Verisk’s insurance intelligence across enterprise AI environments, with access governed by existing customer permissions and content entitlements.

Verisk said the integrations are intended to reduce the time insurance professionals spend researching information and make relevant data easier to incorporate into underwriting, claims and other business decisions.

Verisk adds ISO Loss Costs and premium audit data to enterprise AI

The new integrations provide eligible customers with access to specific Verisk datasets and services through three AI platforms.

Amazon Quick and Microsoft Copilot now support access to ISO Loss Costs and Premium Audit Advisory Service (PAAS) content, subject to customer eligibility.

Within Claude, Verisk has expanded Underwriting Intelligence to include PAAS resources alongside ISO Loss Costs. A separate Verisk Benchmark connector provides permission-controlled access to property-level hail and wind history.

These capabilities allow insurance professionals to query relevant information directly within supported AI applications rather than moving between separate research systems.

In an increasingly complex risk environment, underwriting and claims performance increasingly depends on precision, trusted intelligence and the responsible application of AI.

“AI is most valuable when it helps insurance professionals get relevant, reliable information when they need it. By making that information easier to access and apply, we’re helping insurance professionals work more efficiently while maintaining the rigor and confidence they need to act on that information,” said Saurabh Khemka.

The integrations extend Verisk’s existing insurance data services into AI-assisted workflows without changing the underlying requirements governing access to proprietary information.

Verisk adopts a platform-agnostic approach to insurance AI

Verisk is pursuing a platform-agnostic AI strategy, making its insurance data and analytical resources available through multiple enterprise AI environments rather than restricting customers to a single technology provider.

The approach accommodates differences in how insurers deploy AI across their organisations, allowing customers to access relevant information within the platforms already supporting their operations.

Existing content entitlements, access permissions and governance controls remain applicable across the integrations. Verisk said these requirements are intended to maintain oversight of proprietary insurance information as AI becomes more widely used in underwriting and claims processes.

“AI is changing how insurance professionals work, and how they interact with and draw value from the information they rely on,” said Steven Kauderer, president of Verisk Claims Solutions.

Our focus is on helping clients navigate these changes, making the insurance knowledge they need more immediate and useful so they can better serve policyholders as the industry continues to evolve.

The company said its AI strategy combines insurance-specific data, industry expertise and established governance practices to support more efficient decision-making while maintaining regulatory and operational controls.

Verisk provides data analytics and technology services to the global insurance industry, supporting underwriting, claims management, fraud detection and operational efficiency. Its analytical services also address risks associated with climate change, catastrophic events, sustainability and political developments.

With the latest integrations, insurers using supported AI platforms can access selected Verisk resources through natural-language interactions while retaining the existing permissions and governance requirements attached to those datasets.
