Zillion and Tokio Marine Highland expand luxury jewelry insurance

Zillion has partnered with Tokio Marine Highland to expand embedded insurance coverage for luxury jewelry and watches, targeting VIP customers through an invitation-only offering.

The agreement brings together Zillion’s embedded insurance distribution model and Tokio Marine Highland’s experience in protecting high-value possessions. Tokio Marine Highland is a subsidiary of Tokio Marine Kiln, part of one of the world’s largest insurance groups.

The new offering provides specialist insurance for luxury watches and jewelry through retail partners, collector applications and appraisal services. Coverage is presented directly within existing purchasing and service processes, giving eligible customers immediate access to protection without a separate insurance shopping process.

Unlike conventional distribution arrangements, the product is restricted to invited clients. The offering includes concierge services and specialist claims handling, with both companies focusing on customers who expect personalized support when insuring expensive possessions.

The partnership also extends Zillion’s distribution network among luxury retailers and specialist service providers. Insurance becomes available during the purchase or appraisal process, placing protection alongside the services customers already use when acquiring or managing valuable items.

Casey Santangelo, president of the Fine Art Division at Tokio Marine Highland, said the insurer was pleased to support Zillion’s expansion into specialist luxury coverage. She pointed to changes in traditional insurance distribution and described the agreement as an opportunity to apply Tokio Marine Highland’s expertise to a product designed for luxury consumers.

“We’re delighted to partner with Zillion to offer clients a distinctive protection benefit, backed by the expertise of Tokio Marine Highland,” said Casey Santangelo.

Traditional insurance is changing rapidly, and we are thrilled to support Zillion, a market leader, with a best-in-class product for the luxury consumer.

Adam Black, managing director of Zillion, described Tokio Marine Highland as an established provider of insurance for luxury possessions. He said the partnership builds on the insurer’s experience with valuable items and supports Zillion’s plans to offer more tailored protection through its retail and service partnerships.

For Zillion, the agreement extends its embedded insurance model into a specialist market where product access, service quality and claims support form part of the customer experience. Tokio Marine Highland provides the insurance expertise behind the offering, while Zillion connects the product with luxury buyers through its partner network.
