Richard de Haan is Partner at PwC and serves as Global and US Risk Modeling Services Leader. He also sits on PwC’s Global Risk Services and Global Insurance leadership teams.
At PwC, de Haan oversees one of the largest actuarial and risk modeling consulting groups in the U.S., a practice that blends traditional actuarial expertise with data science, climate science, and financial engineering. His teams work with insurers, reinsurers, financial institutions, and emerging market players on problems ranging from regulatory change to capital optimization. PwC’s wider Actuarial Services network spans 2,500+ professionals across 40 countries, giving him both reach and scale to serve clients worldwide.
His practice areas cover:
- Finance and actuarial modernization, pushing digital transformation in financial and actuarial functions.
- Insurance risk and capital management, improving capital efficiency and resilience.
- Reinsurance and captive structures, designing solutions for risk transfer and capital relief.
