
Robert Galtman, CFA – Senior Director, North American Corporates at Fitch Ratings
Robert Galtman is a senior director at Fitch Ratings, where he focuses on credit analysis, financial research, and sector evaluations for both public and private equity-owned companies. He joined Fitch in 2017 and has been a key figure in assessing corporate credit risk across North America.
Beyond Fitch, he also runs Bella Casa Properties & Talisker Properties LLC, real estate investment firms that provide rental housing while targeting attractive risk-adjusted returns. In parallel, he serves as a Venture Scout with both HearstLab and Level Up Ventures, advising on seed and early-stage venture capital investments. His work has emphasized technology companies, including those led by underrepresented founders, and women-led startups.
Earlier in his career, he spent six years as the sole investment analyst at Central Square Management LLC, a long/short equity hedge fund with $100–150 mn in assets under management, where he specialized in global equity research and bottom-up stock selection.
He holds an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (2011), where he co-chaired the Investment Management Club and managed part of the university’s endowment fund. He earned a dual BS/BA in Finance and Communications from Rowan University (2003), graduating magna cum laude.
Outside of finance, Galtman is an avid runner, working toward completing a half marathon in all 50 U.S. states. He also actively engages with the academic and student community, frequently participating in finance panels and mentoring programs, especially at Rowan University.
