Rory Egan – Head of Cyber & Analytics in Aon’s Global ReSpecialty, Reinsurance Solutions practice
Rory Egan leads Aon’s Cyber & Analytics division within its Global ReSpecialty business, where he focuses on developing innovative reinsurance solutions that address systemic and accumulation risks in the cyber insurance market.
With nearly two decades of actuarial and risk management experience, he plays a central role in shaping the industry’s response to the evolving nature of cyber threats.
Before joining Aon, Rory held senior actuarial and underwriting roles at Munich Re, AIG, and RACQ Insurance, with a specialization in cyber reinsurance treaty design, accumulation modeling, and enterprise risk.
His technical background informs Aon’s approach to structuring cyber catastrophe solutions, including the development of “Surge Stop Loss,” a first-of-its-kind reinsurance product for extreme cyber events.
Rory holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical & Computer Science and Quantitative Finance from the University of Adelaide. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary. He also served as Chair of the Cyber Risk Working Party at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
