Aon launches Specialist Claims Solutions to cut leakage, boost insurer growth

Aon has rolled out Specialist Claims Solutions, a new service aimed at reshaping how insurers manage claims in an increasingly resource-strained, tech-driven environment.

The initiative targets three stubborn challenges: cutting claims leakage, sharpening efficiency, and lifting profitability.

Insurers today are squeezed. They need to improve financial performance but lack resources, struggle with digital and AI integration, and face processing headaches that bleed costs across the claims cycle.

Aon’s new offering packages an end-to-end solution: leakage diagnostics, run-off and administration services, debt recovery, commutations, and inwards claims handling support.

To deepen its capabilities, Aon has locked in an exclusive collaboration with ARMStrong Insurance Services.

ARMStrong, through its SubroIQ and Paragon Deductibles units, provides advanced audit and recovery tools that uncover missed subrogation and deductible billing opportunities.

For Aon, this partnership extends reach into specialized areas of leakage prevention and recovery, giving insurers new ways to plug financial drains.

The project ties directly into Aon’s Risk Capital framework, which blends advisory, analytics, and capital markets. By aligning claims services with that model, Aon can extend its reach not only to insurers but also third-party administrators and managing general agents.

Leonora Siccardi, global head of Strategy and Execution for Reinsurance and executive sponsor of the initiative, framed the launch as a response to “persistent challenges in claims” while clients adapt to changing business needs. Her focus: measurable gains in efficiency, lower loss ratios, and faster processes that improve customer experience.

Sherif Zakhary, CEO of Strategy and Technology Group and Inpoint at Aon, said profitable growth requires more than reacting to claims. It means predicting where value leaks out.

“By combining expertise, technology and capital insight, we are helping clients to anticipate risk, reduce leakage and unlock new value across the claims lifecycle,” he explained.

Leadership for the new unit sits with Veronica Judice and David Griffiths, appointed as global co-heads of Specialist Claims Solutions. Both will report directly to Siccardi.
