HealthTech dacadoo and Microsoft expand partnership to advance AI in digital health

Digital healthtech company dacadoo has deepened its strategic collaboration with Microsoft to deliver scalable, AI-powered health engagement solutions.

The alliance targets key industries including life and health insurance, bancassurance, retail health, and healthcare providers.

At the center of the partnership is dacadoo’s Digital Health Engagement Platform (DHEP). The platform combines real-time health scoring, lifestyle tracking, and predictive analytics to support preventive care and user engagement.

Microsoft contributes its Azure cloud infrastructure and OpenAI-based Foundry Models, enabling secure deployment across regulated markets.

The two firms aim to provide adaptive health journeys that respond to user behavior and support insurers’ shift toward value-based models.

Real-time tools such as dacadoo’s Health Score, Wheel of Life, and Risk Engine are designed to assess risk and promote healthier behavior.

Microsoft’s architecture underpins global rollouts, ensuring the platform meets security and compliance benchmarks.

This joint effort builds on a 30-year relationship between the companies. Microsoft has previously supported dacadoo’s database and process management layers. The latest phase focuses on AI integration at scale, with active discussions already underway with major insurers.

Peter Ohnemus, president and CEO of dacadoo, said the strengthened partnership will accelerate adoption of the firm’s predictive and preventive care strategy.

Expanding our collaboration with Microsoft gives us the technical muscle to scale our Health Score and AI-driven guidance.

“Together, we’re building the next platform to help organizations connect with customers and drive healthier populations,” Peter Ohnemus said.

Elena Bonfiglioli, general manager for healthcare and life sciences at Microsoft, said the collaboration aligns with Microsoft’s broader commitment to personalized, impactful AI use in healthcare.

“Working with dacadoo reflects our belief in technology’s role in improving lives,” she said. “By integrating dacadoo’s DHEP with Azure and OpenAI in Foundry Models, we aim to redefine how digital health engagement works.”
