Global Aerospace has appointed Eric Donofrio as President of Global Aerospace, Inc., effective January 1, 2027. Donofrio will continue to serve as Chief Underwriting Officer alongside his new position.
The appointment follows the planned retirement of Jeffrey Bruno at the end of 2026. Bruno currently serves as President of Global Aerospace, Inc. and Group Chief Underwriting Officer and has spent nearly four decades with the aviation insurer.
During his tenure, Bruno held senior underwriting and leadership responsibilities across the company. Global Aerospace credited him with contributing to client and broker relationships while supporting the development of aviation insurance professionals.
Bruno also worked on the company’s digital transformation initiatives. He said his time at Global Aerospace included developing talent, setting underwriting standards and introducing new digital capabilities.
“Looking back, I feel fortunate to have worked with such exceptional people,” Bruno said. He added that the teams he worked with helped develop talent and advance the company’s digital transformation.
Donofrio joined Global Aerospace in March 2025 as Chief Underwriting Officer. He will take over the presidency less than two years after joining the company.
Rachel Barrie, Group Chief Executive of Global Aerospace, thanked Bruno for his contribution to the company and the broader aviation market. She said his work had a lasting effect on both the business and the professionals who worked with him.
In his expanded role, Donofrio will oversee Global Aerospace while retaining responsibility for underwriting. The company said he will continue working with colleagues, clients and brokers across its aviation insurance business.
