Mile Auto, an Atlanta-based MGA focused on pay-per-mile auto insurance, acquired The Insurance House. The deal took effect on July 1, 2026, according to Beinsure.
The combined group now writes nearly $100 mn in annual premium. It serves more than 55,000 policyholders and works with 1,600 independent insurance agencies across 10 states.
The deal brings together two different businesses with a clear strategic fit. Mile Auto brings patented artificial intelligence and computer vision technology for privacy-focused, mileage-based auto insurance. Insurance House adds more than 62 years of MGA experience and deep agency relationships across the Southeast.
Both brands will remain in the market. The combined organization will continue operating under the Mile Auto and Insurance House names. Southern General Insurance Company, Insurance House’s carrier partner, will also continue working with Insurance House as an independent fronting carrier.
For agents and policyholders, the transaction should not create a hard break in service. Customers will continue dealing with the same companies and teams, while gaining access to broader scale, stronger technology investment and a wider product platform.
Fred Blumer, CEO of Mile Auto, said the acquisition brings together Mile Auto’s technology and distribution with Insurance House’s market experience and agency network.
He said the combined company expects to deliver more value to policyholders, agents and carrier partners, while supporting faster growth.
Mile Auto contributes industry-leading technology and broad distribution, while Insurance House brings decades of market experience and trusted agency relationships. Together, we’re creating a stronger organization that delivers greater value to policyholders, agents, and carrier partners while positioning us for accelerated growth.

Jill Jinks, CEO of Insurance House and Southern General Insurance Company, said the deal opens a new phase for Insurance House after more than six decades serving independent agents.
She said the company will combine its agency relationships and underwriting experience with Mile Auto’s technology and Southern General’s continuing carrier partnership.
Founded in 2017, Mile Auto built its model around mileage-based pricing without telematics devices or continuous smartphone GPS tracking.
The company uses patented computer vision, artificial intelligence and machine learning to verify mileage while keeping the product focused on privacy.
Mile Auto distributes through a multi-channel platform. It also serves as the exclusive U.S. provider of Porsche Auto Insurance.
Insurance House, founded in 1964, has worked with independent insurance agencies for more than six decades. The company has built its position around auto insurance programs, underwriting experience, responsive service and long-term agency relationships across the Southeast.
Mile Auto will also keep working with Cimarron Insurance Company, its existing carrier partner. That relationship supports insurance products across Mile Auto’s current 10-state portfolio.
The carrier structure gives the enlarged group more underwriting capacity and operating flexibility. It also lets Mile Auto and Insurance House preserve the relationships that supported both businesses before the transaction, according to Beinsure.
The combined business now has a larger premium base, a broader distribution network and two carrier relationships supporting its growth plans. It also sits in a stronger position to expand pay-per-mile products, agency-led distribution and affinity insurance programs.
Mile Auto said the acquisition should help the companies invest further in product development, service and underwriting capabilities.
The group will target policyholders, independent agents, carrier partners and affinity organizations as it builds the next phase of its auto insurance platform.
